I Love LifeOh, that you could see what I see and do what I can do! I want my art to take you to a place where you can get lost in it, and in getting lost you truly find yourself. Painting helps me to step back from the momentum of life, teaching me “to be still and know..” It has given me an avenue to allow myself permission to find out who I am. I am learning to “look and see,” “listen and hear,” to appreciate, to be grateful, to see the beauty in this life and maybe the beyond. If I could but pass one thing onto you, is this….. to pause and allow yourself to get lost for but a moment…. and just suppose….! Maybe along the journey you will meet my friend, “the Creator of life!” May I be so bold as to suggest, “to begin the journey now, with me?” Besides displaying her artwork at her own gallery, Bonnie Marklund's artwork can also be seen during the summer at the Canoe Mountain Gallery at the Valemount Visitor Centre as well as at numerous businesses in the Valemount area. Numerous art pieces and other craft items are also available at the Crafters Guild of Valemount store located at The Trading Post on Main Street in Valemount. Besides contemporary artwork, she will paint on almost anything and with almost anything, doing custom artwork, murals, signs and sculpted walls. ![]() ![]() Mumm's The WordDuring 2011, I joined with fellow Robson Valley painters Pamela Cinnamon and Keith Heidorn to form the Pine Beetle Painters (click on the name to visit that website for more on the group). Our first collaboration, seem above, is titled Mumm's The Word. The view here is of a marshy pond along Mount Robson's Upper Loop Trail in the southeast corner of Mumm Basin at an elevation of approximately 7000 feet (2134 m). The painting, which is in three panels, each 3x2 ft, has been sold and will hang in the Calgary headquarters of Kinder Morgan Canada. Take a break and refresh your mind. experience the world and the beautiful Robson Valley as seen by local artists.
